Precious Metal Clay and Glass Using Copper and Bronze Students who have some experience working with silver Precious Metal Clay (PMC) and glass will learn to work with copper and bronze metal clay, and found-glass objects, to create mixed-media designs. Some experience working with PMC and glass is preferred, but not required.

Mixed and Married Metals: Bronze, Copper, and Silver Join this fast-paced two-day class to learn the basics of working with three metal clays: bronze, copper, and silver. Each metal will be discussed individually and in combination. The final afternoon of the class will feature ways to combine components, including rivets, tube rivets, wire connections using a small torch, and custom earring wires. Students will leave the class armed with several traditional metalsmithing techniques to enhance their metal clay work, as well as striking pieces of finished jewelry

Basics of COPPRclay™ Come and enjoy a day's excursion into the newest of the metal clays, copper clay. Learn copper clay’s similarities and differences from bronze and silver metal clays. Students will create several pairs of earrings or charms as well as a pendant.

COPPRclay™ for Beaders A fast-paced introduction to the newest metal clay on the block, COPPRclay™! Students will create at least two sets of clasps in class. Students will need to pick up their work the following day.

Swingin' Bails with Tube Rivets Learn the basics of developing designs, proper sizing, and creating templates for bails that will fit everything from small pendants to large stone or glass donuts. Students will work with copper metal clay to create their own bails. After firing, students will learn proper techniques for using tube setters to secure their bails to the simple pendants they also create. These techniques transfer very well to silver metal clay, which will also be discussed and demonstrated in the class. A new technique with lots of potential!

Enhance Your Glass: Next Steps This class will explore more advanced techniques in combining Precious Metal Clay (PMC) with glass to create wearable art. Students will work with new methods of kiln forming, as well as using silver and the new bronze and copper metal clays. Students will learn some traditional silversmith techniques such as riveting and doming, taking their metal clay skills to new levels. The class also will experiment with photo polymer plates, water etching, and carving dry clay.
